Ingredients :
Bommidala fish - 800gms
Mustard seeds/avalu - 1/2tsp
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1/4tsp
Onions - 2
Green chillies - 3 or 4
Curry leaves - few
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1tsp
Tamarind - medium lemon size
Salt - as per taste
Oil -2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Preparation:
- * clean fish pieces and marinate with salt and turmeric powder.
- * soak tamarind in water.
- *heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,
- jeera and fenugreek seeds.
- *add chopped onions and sliced green chillies.
- *cook until onions become translucent.
- *add ginger and garlic patse. Cook until raw smell goes.
- * add red chilli powder and garam masala powder. Mix well.
- *add curry leaves.
- *add marinated fish pieces and mix well.
- *add tamarind pulp and water.
- * cook for 15 to 20 mins. When done, add coriander leaves and turnoff the stove.
- * serve with hot rice.
